At the heart of our Corporation business is our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. Our CSR interventions have a positive impact on society, environment, and all stakeholders. Our CSR projects focus on strengthening communities by targeting the fundamental drivers of long-term development such as education, health, environmental protection, greening and beautification.

Blood donation @EEC HQ 2023

As part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, we recently organized a blood donation drive in collaboration with the Red Cross. Employees were encouraged to participate, and the event was set up on-site to make it as convenient as possible for everyone to get involved. The Red Cross team came with all the necessary equipment and expertise to ensure the process was safe and efficient. The goal was to contribute to the Red Cross’s efforts in maintaining an adequate blood supply for those in need, particularly for emergency situations, surgeries, and medical treatments. It was a rewarding experience for our team, and we’re proud to have played a role in supporting this important cause.”

As part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), our corporation recently participated in a blood donation and materials drive through the Red Cross to support displaced individuals from the Oromia Region, particularly those in Debre Birhan. This initiative aimed to provide essential aid to those facing displacement due to ongoing challenges in the region.

Donation for Bole sub city wereda 5 Security office

EEC recently donated cleaning materials to the Bole Sub City, Woreda 5 Security Office. This donation was made in an effort to support the local community and help maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the area, especially within the offices and public spaces where the security staff and community members regularly gather.

This donation is part of our broader commitment to community support and well-being. We believe that small but meaningful actions like this can have a significant impact on the everyday lives of both those who work in these facilities and the people they serve. EEC presented Christmas gifts to employees with smaller salaries in January 2025. As part of our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental sustainability, our corporation proudly participated in the Green Legacy Initiative by planting trees along the Mojo-Hawassa Express Road, particularly around the Mojo area, in August 2024 and in the corporation compound 2015/16 EC. This initiative, which aims to contribute to the preservation and restoration of Ethiopia’s natural environment, aligns with our corporation’s core values of sustainability and community engagement. Our team members actively participated in the planting event, showcasing their dedication to We are proud to have contributed to the Green Legacy Initiative and to be part of Ethiopia’s broader effort to safeguard its natural resources for future generations. As part of our CSR efforts, we will continue to seek opportunities to support sustainability and environmental preservation, ensuring that we leave a positive legacy for both our company and the world at large.

As part of our ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, our corporation recently took part in a project aimed at renewing the house of an elderly member of the community in the Sendafa area, who lives on a low income. Recognizing the challenges faced by senior citizens, especially those with limited financial resources, we saw an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the life of someone who has contributed to the community over the years.

The project involved renovating and improving the living conditions of the elderly individual, ensuring their home was safe, comfortable, and more conducive to their well-being. The renovation included repairs to the structure, building new house and safety features. We aimed not only to provide a more secure and livable space but also to enhance their quality of life, offering peace of mind knowing that they have a safe and dignified environment to live in.
We are proud to have been able to contribute to improving the living conditions of a senior community member in Sendafa and to be part of a solution that supports the well-being and dignity of the elderly. This project is just one example of how we aim to extend our CSR efforts beyond the workplace, making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and fostering a sense of community responsibility.
